Homemade Children's Valentines

Super cute idea I found on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/! Many of my project ideas come from this site. I also use check out other stampers' blogs for details on things I want to make. Most of the pictures of things I've made have been CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from other people. You are always welcome to do the same with anything I post.

This was easy and cute (easy enough that children can do it themselves!), which is what I was looking for for Savannah's friends. Features: Bugs & Kisses stamp set from SU!, gummy worms & kisses!

Very cute idea! I decided that I'd also make the kid's Valentine's this year, and thanks to the use of the die cut machine from Riley's school they were super easy and really cute! For Ryder's I used dark green cardstock and cut out T-Rex shapes. I glued a small red heart to one of its hands and wrote on the front, "You are Dino-mite, Valentine!" (corny, yes, but he's 4)
I copied Riley's from familyfun.com http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=10543, but changed it up a little. Instead of using their template (I didn't want to cut out 25 butterflies), I used a medium heart shape die cut then took my cardstock and folded it length wise, then left the folded edge of the paper off the bottom inch of so of the heart so when it opens it looks like two hearts stuck together (or butterfly wings). Instead of dots on the wings I used small heart shapes. And then to simplify things I used glue-dots to secure large sized Smarties to the center instead of cutting notches. They turned out adorable, I need to take pictures!
