My wonderful son is the most accident prone person I have ever met. He's even worse than I am (even when I pregnant), which is hard to beat! So, we're putting off the "professional" birthday photos because every time I want to get them done he falls and whacks himself (usually somewhere on the face). No I don't abuse my child, I just have a VERY active, clumsy baby. The latest happened last night after his bath. He was crawling on the bathroom floor, when his hand slipped out from under him and his cute little teeth cut his mouth right open and gave him a nice fat lip, once he stopped bleeding. Looking good, Caleb! Hopefully, the bruise on your forehead from
the night before will fade soon, along with the ones on your cheek from the beginning of the week. I envy your energy and your ability to bounce back so easily to move on to the next injury. I'm surprised that you haven't need stitches yet, so that's a plus! Happy Birthday! We love you!!!

Hey wait, I have a kid JUST like this! I can TOTALLY relate! What a handsome little man he is!
Awww!! Poor little Caleb! I have to envy little kids and their ability to bounce back. If that happened to me I would have been crying for hours!!
Bumps! Bruises!! He's beautiful and all boy! He'll love the goofy pictures when he's older and so will you!
Happy Birthday bruiser!
Okay, here is a tip for little boy (or girl for that matter) bruises. Let me prefface it by saying I don't know how it works, only that my family has done it ever since I can remember and it does work- sounds crazy, but works.
Kay, so after the little one bumps, get a little bit of butter on your finger and rub it over the spot where it hit right away. The butter will stop the bruising at what ever point it is at. So, if it hasn't started to bruise, it won't. Interesting side note that is also helps with the throbbing pain of a bump too. My mother once dropped a trailer on her foot while unhitching it. She should have gone to the Dr. but didn't. She decieded to try the butter thing for herself since she had been using it on us for years. She said that it did infact help with the pain of that and there was a lot of pain. When my boys were little, they would be able to tell me if it was an owie that needed butter or not.
I told you it was strange, but it does work. It doesn't have to be a lot of butter, just enough to let your finger glide over the bump. Don't get them all greasy, it isn't necessary.
